What is a Toastmaster?

A Toastmaster is someone who wants to help themselves and others get better at speaking in front of people. They do this by practicing speeches with other Toastmasters and giving/receiving feedback.

But can’t I do that on my own?

Of course you can. But you’ll probably only grow a lot by being with others who are on the same journey. We give each other feedback on our speeches, motivate one another, and have a ton of fun along the way.

Are you part of an organization?

Yes, Toastmasters is basically an international organization. There are many clubs all around the world, all united by the fun of speaking and community. Together, we’re about 270,000 people.

How many of you are usually there in person?

The clubs vary in size, and so do the meetings. Some meet with eight people, while others have thirty.

You’ll definitely get your share of speaking time and have fun. I promise.

What will I learn?

  • how to present confidently and clearly
  • how to come across as authentic and approachable
  • how to make people look forward to your talk
  • how to get people to listen to you and be interested in what you say
  • how to captivate and excite your audience

And all of that in a positive learning environment in the club. Feel free to check it out for yourself.

Can I check that out?

Of course, anytime! You can find the dates for the upcoming meetings right on the homepage. The first three sessions are free, we’re looking forward to see you!
